"Summers at the Dig" features a unique batik inspired by my son Jack. When creating these batiks, I really wanted to capture the fierceness of the dinosaurs, that you feel from visiting Natural History Museums--which as a Mama of a boy obsessed with them, we went to often! He knew every name, every skeleton, and when they roamed the earth. He had determined that I would spend my summers with him, at the digs, to cook for him--that's what Mamma's did, I was told!! - Karen Gibbs

We felt partnering with Karen Gibbs on this project along with American Quilter Society Magazine was a good fit for us. We love Karen and we have had her in the shop many times. We love supporting her endeavors and when she told us this project was part of a magazine and she was looking for a partner to kit her project, we jumped at the chance.
